During the autumn holidays (week 42) we offer a riding course with a combination of tour riding and teaching.
All participants have the opportunity to participate in theory in the afternoon/evening on the days it is offered.

On all our courses, we go through the most basic things to become a skilled rider.
It could, for example. be:
Lecture and display of the gaits of the Icelandic horse.
Instructor: Lasse Grønberg Jensen (FEIF level 1 instructor and young horse trainer through the Danish Icelandic Horse Association).
When you choose a riding course, you are divided into teams. One team starts with lessons, and the other team rides on a 2-hour ride. After lunch, the teams change.
We are happy to do more course weekends on request. We also hold courses around the country on demand.

We recommend the ferry departure from Frederikshavn at 16.50 or at 20.30 p.m.
After accommodation, there is a briefing about the coming days, where crackers, cheese, coffee and tea are served at the same time.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday breakfast is served at 08.00-09.00.
09.30 we meet in the stable, where the horses are distributed and saddled.
After this, one team rides on tour, and the other team gets lessons in the riding hall. The teams change after lunch.
Approx. 15.30-16 we finish the riding, and coffee/tea and home-baked cake are served.
At 19.00 dinner is served.
Departure Saturday after breakfast no later than 09.30. We recommend the ferry departure at 9.40.

begins: You have never ridden, or you have ridden a few times in the past but never received lessons.
Lower intermediate: You can hold the reins correctly, stop and steer correctly. Has ridden trot/canter/gallop several times without problems. "Rusty" adults and children who have ridden for several years at riding school often belong in this category.
Routined: You have been riding for several years and have ridden all types of terrain. You have the balance to stand safely in the stirrups at a canter and have control of half parades.
The choice of level is not final. We talk to all participants before the horses are distributed. This is just to have an overall picture of levels.
Note our rider weight limit of 85 kg.
We accept course participants from the age of 10 and up.
If a family member does not want to ride, it is possible to only stay on board and lodging or borrow a mountain bike.
We divide the riders into groups according to what we think gives the best experience.
Unfortunately, we do not accept people with either physical or mental disabilities, as our horses are not suitable, and this will require extra guides. For us, it is a matter of safety and a good experience for all participants. This only applies to the riding, everyone is welcome for board and lodging.
When booking, state the age, weight and riding experience of the participants so that we can match horses and riders as optimally as possible.
